Lao Gan Ma - Pâte de Piment Épicée 670g

I never liked spicy stuff growing up, but Hot Ones made me realize Sriracha was 'no big deal' and now I can't stop using it. This is the new addition to the portfolio and I don't think I'll have to go anywhere else. Umami and spice. I add a spoonful to each bowl of soup, noodles, rice, or just about anything.

This stuff is 'crack' and is usually sold out in grocery stores near me, so it's nice to have a stash now that should last me quite awhile.

I usually use a fresh jar's oil to start a serving of rice (I sieve out the flakes and stuff and leave them in the jar) as the cooking oil and I'll start the next jar out trying that with popcorn. (the rest of the jar is harder to stir, but then each portion has less oil in it and just the flavours I want to munch on as a condiment).

There are tiktoks of this stuff being put on ice cream, but I'm not that brave.
